Muddy in Spots
Yo, I'm new to the area and didn't know about this site and that there might be trail closures. I'm not sure if the trails were officially closed today, but I definitely think they didn't need to be! I was out for a great ride this morning. None of the water that was in pictures on FB from a few days was present. There were a very few muddy spots, but I did not create any major ruts.

Trails Opened (but still muddy!)
(June 2, 2015)
Thanks the the incredible efforts of a very large group of volunteers from KMBC, Wild Card Cycling, riders from the Griffen Bike crew and from the Fay Pickering system, the trails have started the recovery process, and the park has opened them back up.
Please note that the trails still need to dry. As always, if you find that your leaving a noticible track, jump off the trails and wait for them to dry up!
Thanks to everyone that volunteered their time and energy to this effort. KMBC is incredibly thankful!
Temporary Trail Closures
(May 25, 2015)
Unfortunately, Kickapoo State Park was hit very hard by some strong storms over the last several weeks, resulting in considerable trail damage. There is a work day scheduled for May 30th,
beginning at 10:00 am. Please join if you are able.
For those interested in donating extra to help with the repair process, consider becoming either a
paying KMBC member, or
making an additional donation by clicking here.

Pi Day Spring Updates
(March 14, 2015)
The sun is finally coming out, which means that we are all itching for a good ride! As always, remember that the Kickapoo Mountain Bike trails will be closed until we are out of the freeze-thaw
cycle and the trails get the chance to dry up. If you are leaving a rut then it is time to find some gravel to ride!
In the meantime, we have been working on a few off-season projects and updates. One of our members has been hard at work puting together map resources for those of you who like to work with them.
Head over to the maps page to check these out! There will also be ongoing changes to this site to make the membership process a bit easier for everyone, so keep an eye out
for those updates!
(October 24, 2014)

Upcoming Work Day: May 25th
(May 19, 2014)
We have had plenty of rain, so Kickapoo has been growing like crazy. We have several projects on the docket including a big-time trail reroute, and plenty of trimming.
The plan is to meet at the trail head by 9:00 am, and work until 12:30 pm. Hopefully this will be followed by a little food and riding!
(April 27, 2014)
Note: We're getting a bit of rain for the next few days. Please stay off the new trails until they dry out again. We would hate to see so many man-hours wasted to a few maverick riders!
KMBC is happy to announce that this week of trail work far exceeded our wildest expectations! Thank you to Dewayne and all of the volunteers to doing some of the most impressive work that we have seen in a long time! Once the trails dry up, get out there and ride!
Oh, also, Nick Mann took some wonderful photos! Check em' out here!

Spring Trail News
(March 23, 2014)
We are getting so close to riding season, but until we have some consistently warm temperatures without any precipitation, the trails are going to stay soft. Please resist the temptation to ride the trails when they are not ready - ruts can quickly become puddles, and puddles can quickly become hours of work for the club, which takes time away from other more important projects. Which brings us to...
Trek Trail Days
Trek's very own trail guru Dewayne Burratti will be visiting the KMBC from April 22nd - April 26th. With his expert guidance, we will be tackling some major trail projects, and we will cap the week off with a Saturday night social event. We will update this space as we develop our plans further.
Welcome! We're testing some new features.
